There is nothing quite like the excitement of travel, whether it’s an overseas trip you’re going on or just a road trip for the day, the feeling you get when you travel is quite unique unto itself:  it’s one part anticipation, one part nerves topped with a huge dollop of excitement and a small pinch of ‘did I switch the stove off?’ and at the end of the day it’s ‘Hell yeah, let’s do that again’.

When I first decided to move to Cape Town it was because there is just so much to see and do here. You don’t even need a lot of money to really experience the excitement that this city has to offer, and the best part is that there is something for every mood you’re in.

Even after 8 years of exploring Cape Town I’m still discovering new spots and spaces and things to do. It’s all about knowing where to look and when to go.

The more I explore Cape Town the more I realise that there is so much more to see and do than just the touristy stuff you see in brochures, and that is why I created this blog.

I want to help others get the most out of Cape Town and their travels. It’s a kind of insider’s guide to Cape Town and South Africa.

The Weekend Wanderlust Blog was created to help you get the most out of your weekend and life. Life should be about enjoying the world we live in, and that’s why having a wanderlust is so important, even if the weekends are the only time you have to explore and have fun. Join me on my journey of exploration as I share all the gems South Africa has to offer.

I really hope you enjoy my blog and find it helpful.
